Need help finding a guns value.

I am trying to figure out how much my Colt Army Special 32-20 is worth. Based on the serial it looks like it was made in 1906. Sadly the grips are not original. I am pretty sure that it has been in my family sense it was first sold. The gun is in working order, and shoots nicely!
    Here are some pictures:

It's a sketchy call...the revolver itself is in nice shape and older Colt models usually sell for a premium but it's chambered in an uncommon caliber by today's standards. Most buyers, even hardcore collectors, generally want the ability to put rounds through a prospective buy even if they don't intend to do so and odd calibers can affect desirability and therefore price.

Ninety is correct. The accepted way to determine a firearm's market value is to check the various firearms auction and sales websites, look at completed sales, and try to average their sale prices for the same model of gun in similar conditions.

She's lovely, by the way. Regardless of it's value, please consider coming up with a fair price and posting it for sale on Calguns. With our ridiculous roster restrictions it's hard for a collector here in California to get nice stuff and I'm sure there's a buyer in state who would love to own this.

I hope you are checking prices just for kicks or insurance purpose. Sounds like a family heirloom so you should hold onto it until you pass it on to the next generation.

Actually I am going to sell it. I know... Most people will say to hold onto it, but sadly I need to get rid of it to fund my goal of getting a 1911.
