Decided to invest in my M&P9

Well, I have been saving a little here and a little there when I can to upgrade the trigger on my M&P9. I don't have a whole lot of firearms, and since this is my HD weapon, I figured it is worth the investment (although it did take a significant amount of justifying). So tonight I found the discount Midway USA is offering ($30 off if you spend $200 or more). I was originally going to upgrade the trigger first then the sights, but I ended up purchasing both.

Here's what I got. I can't wait to install them and check out the improvements.

Nice. I did not think the trigger on my M&P9 was that bad after 2000 rounds until I installed this in my new M&P45. Night and day side by side!

      Enjoy!

I am having issues with my Polymer Trigger AEK. It has 2 reset points to it, that is the only thing I have changed on it so I put the original back in until I can figure out WTH.

I picked up my M&P 9mm last week and have not even shot it yet. But I changed out trigger with an Apex Poly trigger and put in a Apex Comp AEK kit. it takes some tweeking to get it to where you like it. I shoot all 1911's and this is my first tuperware gun. So the trigger feels like mush no matter what I do to it. but the trigger does feel better than it did, and the huge pull weight has radically gone down. so this week I will head to the range and check it out..

That isn't the trigger. It is the non-upgraded action parts.

What you are feeling was always there, it was just covered by the flex inherent to the factory hinged trigger. The more solid AEK polymer trigger allows you to feel what the action was always doing

Expecting the trigger to address problems it wasn't design to have any effect on is pretty unreasonable. That is why most folks prioritize the AEK, ahead to the polymer trigger

I thought about that set up. I am setting this up as another IPDA rig. I might try that in the future. this is my first gun like this...I am a 1911 guy, but I realize that I cant hide one of them in the mud out back and shoot it a week later.. Sooo, the m&p has its place. I do like the feel of it, so we shall see after I shoot it. I did dump the mag disconnect straight away though.. and I am very happy with that.

I'm at about 2000 rounds myself. I have felt significant improvement as the round count increased, but thanks to testimonials such as yours, I have decided to go with the kit. I'll post pics as soon as the post man delivers.

My wallet hates you right now.

I was going to upgrade my M&P 45 with both the Apex D/CAEK and Trijicon HD night sights and since you pointed out the Midway discount I bought both tonight.

                      I've invested in mine, too.

                      Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit
                      Polymer AEK trigger
                      RAM
                      Failure-Resistant Extractor
                      installation of Heinie Stright-8 Sights

And I'm on the wait list for a fitted Storm Lake barrel.

I don't think they have the green laser for M&P... Pretty sure it's just 1911 and Glock right now

I hear the M&P has the new trigger reset. Did yours have the new rest?
