Well...Today is the day

That I am buying a new gun, but not in the PRC.

I am saying goodbye to the Peoples Republic of California, and moving into my new home in Nevada. While it has taken some sacrifices to pull off this move, I am very happy to finally be able to stop giving this socialist paradise any more of my tax dollars.

I was born here and grew up in a time before the liberals had taken over and ruined it. It was a great place to be a kid, unfortunately, that time is past.

I am planning to hit the Nevada DMV this morning and transfer my drivers license. This afternoon, I am going to hit a few gun stores and buy a gun and enjoy the novelty of buying a gun and walking out with it the same day.

I'm not really sure what I am going to get, as new guns don't do much for me. I have been considering a gen4 Glock 26 for CCW though, but if something else grabs my attention, I may just go for that.

Hmmm, maybe a SIG?

I just did the same thing a few 2 weeks ago. Went to the dmv and was ready to give my license to the clerk but she wouldn't let me. I guess I have to register my vehicles first. Can't wait to buy my first gun. Glad I'm not paying state taxes anymore.

It's a real pain in the you-know-what to uproot your life and move to a place where you don't know anyone. I am lucky in that I have been happily divorced for the last 16 years and I didn't have a wife that I had to sell the idea to. I'm lucky too, in that my son likes it here also and has moved to the area.

I have just reached the point of having had enough of the leftist bullsh*t in the PRC. I left home when I was seventeen to get away from my mother and I neither need, nor want the nanny state looking after me.

An added bonus is that real estate is much less expensive here and I was able to buy a home for about one third of what it would have cost where I used to live. Double bonus is that I have a killer view of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
