RIA painting

I was putting a couple of coats of black over my RIA, and while reading the can it state to bake parts in the oven at 250, 400, and 600 degrees for 30 min intervals. yay or neigh on this step, or just bake it at the lower temps. Its it possible to warp the parts or mess up any tempering?

is it just the slide or whole pistol?

anyway aside from grips i cant see anything being damaged at such low temperatures
