P99 AS compact as CCW handgun compare to Glock 26?

Is P99 AS compact a better choice than Glock 26?

    Thanks

They're roughly the same size. However...

Its not on the roster anymore. And they're hard to find. Even harder to SSE.

I know. It was my first choice for a carry gun.

Ever consider an H&K P30? Dimensionally very similar to the P99. Easier to find with the SSE shops. Great for lefties (why I bought mine).

Personal preference. I found the P99c profile to be a bit more prone to printing than a sub compact Glock, but YMMV. I think the P99cAS has a better trigger system for those that are more wary of carrying with a rounds chambered, decocking into the longer DA style trigger mode means less chance of a negligent discharge.

Personally due to the profile of the pistol and the trigger I prefer the Glock for CC purposes, however at the range I enjoy shooting the Walther more, for some reason.

Sorry, but the HK P30 and the P99 are not subcompact pistols. I think the HK P2000SK is a better comparison to the pistols the OP mentioned.

          You summed it up well.

I currently have a P99cAS and will keep it mainly for collection. While it's a nice and rare pistol, it's about a hair bigger and a hair thicker than the G26.

Both shoot well and are reliable. However, for the main purpose for which these pistols are made, the G26 is a little better for concealment though I also feel that the P99cAS is more enjoyable to shoot. The main advantages of the G26 are more parts (factory and aftermarket) available and you can find these pistols more frequently.
