Pearce plus one glock 27 problem

I just picked up my new Glock 27 yesterday and installed a Pearce plus one floor plate on one of the magazines both to give me a tenth round and to give my pinky a place to live. My pinky is now quite happy but that tenth round will NOT go in. I disassembled the mag and inspected it to see if I could find out why but everything looked good. Anyone else have this problem?

Can you get 9 rounds without the extension? G27s are notorious for being really tough to get the 9th rnd in. Mine was until they were well broken in. Couldn't do it manually and barely could with an Uplula loader.

Yeah, nine rounds are no problem without the extention. For the 10th I was literally pushing down hard enough to dent the casings. I can feel it bottom out. Weird. Im thinking either glock changed their mags, or the extention is somehow defective.

maybe they gave you the wrong part. Many Pierce extensions are not +1, they're just extensions.

Yup. My plus 1 is a +0. I never really use it though.

I'm pretty sure the +1/2 magazine extensions only add extra capacity if used on standard capacity magazines, not 10-rounders or subcompact magazines.

I had the same problem, never did cram a tenth round in there. But at least my pinky is happy!

I have two Glock 27 mags with the Pearce +1 floorplates and have never gotten 10 rounds in either mag. Since I was only getting 8 rounds in the mags with the original floorplates, I'm still pleased with the purchase.

Pearce's website claims that the PG-39 Glock Model 26/27/33/39 Extension will take the magazine capacity of the Model 27 to eleven rounds. The PG-GP Glock Magazine Extension claims to increase the capacity of a .40 magazine by two rounds BUT it clearly states that it is for mid and full size magazines.

Might want to check and see which specific extension you purchased.

I have two 27 mags with the Pearce + 1 extension both hold 10 rounds. If your mags are new it will be a bear after there broke in its not a problem anymore.

Are you using the plastic floorplate ?
Try it without it.

Pierce = there's your first problem. I don't know of any agency that authorizes Pierce mag extensions. There's a reason for that.
