    Anyone rocking 9mm 1911?

Looking to pick up a rock island or range officer in 9mm.

Like to hear from some owners. Do they run good or ammo picky?

One ragged hole 9 shot groups @ 8 yards maybe?

I used to have the Springfield loaded 1911 model with target sights. It was the most accurate gun that i shot in my life. It was reliable and very accurate. Never gave me any problems.

        Echo that!

Officer doesn't have adjustable rears or ambi safeties. I have a stainless loaded target that's a tack driver. I use it for idpa time to time. Get one and add a fiber front, done! I run 125 and 147 reloads. Last batch of 147 has nearly no muzzle flip.

Springfield stainless target owner here. Thus far; smooth, reliable, soft, and dead nuts accurate. When I go shooting with my shooting buddy he always comments that the gun is like cheating. Got an EMP on the way, can't wait!

Good to hear. ... do you have a favorite mag? Slide hold open after last round?

Btw: the R O does have adjustable rear sight.

Kimber Stainless Target II might be a good choice, too. It has a nice trigger and adjustable target sights. I have one and I am pleased so far.

Has adjustable? Perfect, put that $$ toward a magwell then. Mags I have 2 Wilson etm that lock on last and drop free. Also have metal form 10rd that have given me no issues. $30+ a mag I think is insane. Metalform 9mm 10rd are I think under $25.

I'm getting ready to put a RIA Tactical 1911 in jail. $519- at Parallax... Hard to beat for the price and features.

I have one as well. Pretty flawless in every respect, feed, accuracy, very fun to shoot.

I have a 9mm RIA FS - great gun. No issues with it what so ever.

I have a Springfield loaded target and love shooting this gun. It always goes to the range on every trip. The only problem I have had is the back sight came apart one time and I sent it back to Springfield to get fixed (for free) and while it was there it took a side trip to the coustom shop and had some work done on it.

                              ^^^^

I like that you say it never misses a range trip. I get that.

I have a 45acp RO that I'd like to send to the custom shop for front strap checkering
