    Which Sig?

I plan on taking advantage of the Sig rebate soon. The 220, 226 and 229 will get the hondo ($100) rebate so I will buy one of the three. I'm thinking about a .357 Sig, but I previously standardized with 9mm and .45 for logistical reasons. The 220 in 45 looks good, but what do you guys think? The only other Sig I've ever owned was a 228 and now a P6, so I'm looking for advice from a Sig guru.

Are you going to be carrying it? The 229 is basically a 226 Compact, so if you're going to carry, you might want the smaller size. The grip is similar if not the same between the two. The 220 only comes in .45.
Then another horse PONY came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a huge sword. My kinda guy.

That's a good question. Certainly, if the gun shoots well I will carry it from time to time. It will be more of a shooter that I take along with others to Panoche this fall. While the 357 Sig is interesting, I'd better go with a 9 or 45 since I've been trying to stock up in those two calibers. The 220 with a 10rd mag sounds like a solid shooter....but a compact 9 could be fun!

If you wanna stay with only one caliber:
        P220 in .45ACP

You already got a 9 in the P6.

If you want a multicaliber platform:
226 or 229 in .357 Sig. You can exchange barrels and mags in .40 and 9.

The P220 is the grand daddy SIG. You'll love it!

229 40/357 and have optional 9mm capability as well.

            ...

I'd highly recommend a Sig P229/40/357/9mm, non-railed if you can find one, have 3 gun platforms in one gun IIRC.

the 220's grip is longer and thinner than the 226/229. At least for my hand, the 220 grip does not fit well. I have a couple of older samples of the 226 and I love them. I wanted to get the 220 many times. But each time I pick it up, I am reminded of why I don't already have one.

I would do the perfect 226ST, if you want you can get it in .40 and find the 357sig barrel for it, and that way you have a 2 caliber gun.

                  Also consider P239

I have the P229 (.40) and the P226 (9mm) of the ones on your list. I tend to prefer the P229 over the P226 based on grip ergonomics. The P229 is also versatile, in that it is small enough to be carried concealed, while the P226 is really too large for that, in my opinion.

If you want a 9mm Sig that is an excellent carry gun, you should consider the single stack P239. I have one of these and it has a small, compact grip and fairly narrow slide - about 1.0 inches flat to flat.

If you already have a P228 the P229 is the same. The P6 is an inferior gun to both the 229 and 226. .357SIG ammo is very expensive.

I don't get the P220, even though I have one in 10day purgatory. I think the 1911 makes more sense.

I'd encourage you toward a P226 Stainless or, if you can stomach it, the X-Five. If you want carry, consider the P220 carry. If you're LEO, get elites. The extended beavertail is very ncie.

                      Get a 220... it's a fantastic shooter.
(I know this picture has my 220 and 226, I'm a fan of 45 and 9mm as well)

I have a P239. Man, do I like that gun. I just wish I had gotten the stainless. That is sweet!

Find yourself a P226ST. If not a P226 in .357sig is a good platform. I use to own a P226 in .40 and .357sig but went back to 9 and 45's only for semiauto.
