Your only viable method is SSE a 49 state model like many of us have. I got mine at Tracy Rifle and Pistol, which is close enough to the east bay that you shouldn't have any excuses ;-) Trust me, you won't regret it, its a fantastic little semi-auto.

It's not super cheap or close, but you can give EBR a try, they have them in stock and the website says they can do the SSE. They are close to Thousand Oaks. Plus they are a Calguns vendor.
