My new favorite carry gun - ( Glock 42)

Bought it last week and just put 150 rounds through my Glock 42. So far, no malfunctions. (WWB, Hornady, PMC and Seller and Belot) The 42 has an excellent grip for anyone with small hands, and it is a very soft shooter. I shoot it much better than my Glock 19 and 26. I love the Ruger LCP but that thing is painful to shoot. Waiting for Proforce to get more in so i can pick up my second g42.

I knew you would get a Glock 42. Haha.

I pick mine up on Friday. Already bought a bunch of ammo and if my daughter doesn't steal the thing from me I might start reloading .380

      Thanks for the report.

Good to know, thanks for the update. Any chance you could PM me what Proforce is selling them for?

Pro Force is selling it for $319 right now and Ammo Bros at Ontario is selling it for $349 (LEO only both location). I was about to pick two of them, but decided not to because I am not a big fan of 380.

Lol.. Rollingcode3, I knew you were going to buy one for sure. I noticed you like to use kydex holster, not leather. I am leather holster guy.
Do you like the size? I liked it because it's just big enough to get the full grip and slim enough to hide it very easily.

You have good taste. I sold most of my glocks but they are slowly coming back into my safe again. Want to sell me one of of your OD Glocks?

I love the size of the g42. It fits my hands like a glove especially without the finger grooves. Very soft shooting and love the trigger (crisp break and very short reset) I am not a fan of leather holsters. Too thick and too heavy for my taste.

                FROM original post:

Is your LCP reliable? What Generation?

I accept the fact at their low weight they must sting a bit. But the small stature is undeniable. As it looks so muck smaller than most all other 380s (aside from P3AT obviously and a Seecamp).

As an at home bump in night, knock at door, in the pajama pocket option, something I am looking to buy. Was thinking a snubby like the LCR but the slimness and weight of LCP seems better. The Minnesota senior news has me thinking to recommend one to my father.

He has options in his bedroom, but something to pocket as a last ditch/first defense choice would be good. Easier to conceal and retain as so small. I doubt he would wear a Serpa level 3 or similar OWB in the evening at home. Am thinking a Remora Nemesis or Superfly to pair up with it.

I am a normal guy and paid $419. Friends in other States say $500 up to $675.....

                        I am ok with $419

I swiped this from Quiet on another board^^^

Anyone have a pic or video comparison of the size between the shield and g42? And how they shoot (granted different caliber, but still would like to hear some input). Thanks

                            $419 including SSE?

I went to riflegear and the guy said I couldn't even look at or fond a shield because I wasn't LEO. Is this their policy?

                            Thanks

Questions: are .380 relatively easy to find? Generally, how much per round? Sorry I normally shoot 45, 9, and 22.

                              Thanks
