Shield with TFO NIGHT SIGHTS ?

I ordered a shield, the seller can install a TFO NIGHT SIGHTS for extra $90.
Is it worth that?
Are they good sights? durable? because i saw somebody said the fiber will come out after shooting some rounds.

Considering the price to purchase the TFO and having the seller install them on for you too? Saves you time, money and hassle of sight removal tool. YES! I have them on my Glock 19 RTF2. Good luck

TFO night sights are pretty decent... however, I prefer flashlight than night sight.

I recently installed TruGlo TFO sights on a 1911. I think they are sweet! Remains to be seen if the fiber optic rod will stay in place. They appear to be cemented in with cyano acrelate (crazy glue). The problem with that stuff is that it won't take a shock very well and hense the falling out sights. Good thing is you can crazy glue them back in if they don't get lost!

probably it is better for range gun.

The truglo sights are nice but in small amount of cases, they tend to get loose and the lamps may fall out. Also, if you pocket carry, the rear sight may snag. The only sight that won't snag will be the xs big dot.

so, i just keep the factory sights... night sights for ccw gun probably is not necessary.

Actually, I'm a huge fan of night sights. If you pocket carry, get the XS big dot sights.

If not, I like the trijicon sights.

my TFO front site got loose and I had to send it in to be replaced. Replacement was free but shipping was not (had to pay for both ways). This was on my m&p40c. Other than that, I like the sights. Plenty bright day or night.

Had TruGlo TFOs on my Glock 19 for about 2,000 +/- rounds now. Nothing has come loose yet but I have heard they (mainly front fiber optic) can come loose. Murphy's law hasn't struck yet but you never know. Still great sights if you ask me.

That's a very good deal for sights and installation. I have them on my 9mm Shield and they work well in any dark to light condition.
I don't at all consider the Shield a pocket carry gun-maybe in cargo type pants with giant external pockets but how often do most CCW folks wear those year round?
Have them installed but be sure to install the right model.

thank you guys, I just called that seller, they said the issue with TFOs happened about three years ago, currently, the issue already got solved.
also the sights they installed for me have 12 years guaranty.
I think that is pretty much good enough.

You're coming in with your first post on this thread so I don't get your "TFO issue" statement or your seller's claim to a twelve year guaranty. Please provide more information on these two subjects.
