    snubnose python value

Have a chance to purchase a snubnose Python.

This revolver does not have the original grips and has very slight blueing wear on the barrel tip, but otherwise the finish is very nice. No box , etc.

Any thoughts on the value ( without seeing pics ) ?

Snub Snakes are very hard to find and pricey. I would think about $2500 is what it's going to cost you, just a guess but I don't think far off.

Yep, I agree, snubbies are very hard to find and when you do they bring a nice price premium

feeding frenzy on pythons right now

unless you want to hold and resell, trying to ride the wave and make money someday, I wouldn't bother.....as a shooter, its not worth 2500...only as a speculative investment

for a shooter thats a good price, if you really want to shoot it

the colts are touchy though, go out of time easily and not as robust as the Smith

Not trying to start a flame

But I've been shooting Colts for 25 years and have never had one go out of time or fail. Lots of hot handloads and thousands of rounds downrange.

I would put the Trooper MK III and Anacondas up against any gun for robustness. Pythons are not far behind...

              But JMHO...

              PS I love Smiths too

Almost had this one home from Iraq. The guy behind was a cop, and killed. That's his gun.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

Buy it fast as you can. If you are in the Bay Area I'll give you $1800. soon as you have it. Ignore all the FUD about them being weak in any way, greatest wheel gun ever made.
