    Talking with my FFL

I get the feeling that I'm addicted to buying and shooting guns, went to my FFL today and while talking to him a shipment of guns came in, 2 P6's and some others I did not care for but he had a Dan Wesson 6" no box or papers, So yea I bought another P6(born on date is 5/95) for 415 OTD and the DW for 340 OTD. I THINK I did good. The DW was nice and tight and looked like it had not been shot much but it was missing the box, papers and other barrels.
    Now the LOOOONG 10 days.

A DW for $340.00 is pretty good - 6" barrel heavy or regular? I saw a nice one in SF area, price is $550.00. Also saw one in the "LE Only" case for $260.00 so I'd say you did pretty well. A DW pistol pac can get a bit pricey. I sold my 70's version last year for $1,200.00 and it stayed in the case for all of a bout 2 days, which tells me I could have gotten more.

DW can go either way. Eiither sells at a premium because it is no longer in production and is a niche market favorite and hard to get in CA. Or it sells for very low because the general public doesn't know about them and it does not have the collectibilty and resale or a S&W or especially a Colt.

I once only got less than $300 selling a 6" w/o extras a few years back. I have a 8" .357 ANIB with all in box waiting for me at a FFL right now cost me $250.

I recently saw the pistol pac sell for around $700. DW QC varied wildly over the years.

I have never seen in person any of the .45lc or .32mag versions or other calibers. I stupidly passed a .22lr at $250 in 2003 or 2004.

My new DW has the vent rib non heavy barrel. I should try to find the 15" barrel!
