First CCW Pistol, any helps, thanks

After doing research, here are the Subcompact Pistols I am interested in,

    Single mag stack:
    Walther PPS
    Shield
    P290rs
    LC9

    Double mag stack:
    Glock 26
    P2000sk

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I have the Shield in 9mm. Put some Talon grip tape on it and go shoot. Beautiful little gun. I also have the APEX trigger parts in it, but you can do your own trigger job, very easy.

Can't recommend anything else as I don't have them, but my choices were PPS, LC9, and Shield. I went with the Shield and never looked back.

Most counties will allow you three pistols on your CCW. I suggest a double stack AND a single stack to give you some options depending on clothing, where you're going, etc.

Any of the options you list are great, just make sure they all operate similarly. You don't want to be thinking "am I carrying the one with the safety?" if you ever need to use it.

A great lineup would be something like:

      G26
      Shield (never actuate the safety)
      J-Frame or Ruger LCP

      My personal 3 are:

      G27
      J-Frame Airweight
S&W Bodyguard 380 (I never actuate the safety)

I feel like I can cover just about any situation, clothing wise. I wish my county would allow 4 - I would add a full size .45 like a Sig P220 or M&P 45, etc.

Get whatever you think you want for IWB. Also SSE a Ruger LCP for pocket carry in a pocket holster. In a year give us a report on what you carry the most often.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"What we get away with isn't usually the same as what's good for us"
"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"

"While Ruger DA revolvers may be built like a tank, they have the aesthetics of one also,
although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"

I have one of each size on my CCW:
          Kahr PM9 (9mm)
          Kimber Ultra Covert II (.45ACP)
          S&W M&P .40 (.40SW)

          Depends on my mood

-I'm partial to the shield...excellent value for the $ and very comfortable, natural feel to the grip
-the LC9 is inexpensive and very reliable but the trigger its the most commonly cited weakness
-never heard an unkind word about the PPS
-G26 is another all around excellent choice. it's only ~ .20 inches wider than your other choices... to some shooters that can make all the difference when it comes to comfort while carrying, but if you can deal with it, the higher capacity should give you a lot of peace of mind.

I would narrow it to the Shield for single stack, Glock for double stack. Also consider a pocket gun LCP or P380 sized.

                Good luck!

Try them all out at a shooting range first, then decide.

Having said that, I have the P2000sk and love it. It is perfect carry piece, summer or winter months for me. YMMV.

                  Good luck with your decision.

Have you considered the Kahr PM9 for single mag stack, I really enjoy mine. As for double stack I prefer HKs due to asthetics but also because I prefer a hammer when I have the choice.

Very nice Nikki. I used to carry a Shield but sold it because it started to show signs of rust around the slide grove areas that would make contact with my sweaty body in summer. I tended to carry IWB how do you carry and have you ever notice or had this issue?

Used to carry 4th Gen Glock 26, but sold it for shield 9mm and XDs 9mm.
