    Help with a LC9

    Hi all,

    I've got a Ruger LC9 and would like to disable the magazine safety lock, can anyone provide me the directions on how to do tis? Thanks

        Take it slow with that thing and pay close attention to what you're doing.

        I remember it being pretty fiddly when I did it. There are a couple very fine springs that would be tough to find if they got away from you, too.

            This video is not right the magazine disconnect does not come out like he showed if you try it that way you will see. don't pry on it to get it out. You need to remove the trigger and it will come out real easy. This guy does it correctly.

                    I had to remove the trigger also...
                    My big mistake was I knocked the roll pin that holds hammer bar in. Don't make that mistake as it takes a lot of patience to get the bar and spring back in...
                    I also damaged the mag disconnect trying to pry it ou before giving and removing the trigger

                      That's the video I used to remove mine. It only takes about 10 min to do it the right way.

                        Great helpful video.

                        Just did this last night. Followed the video and took me less than 15 min. I didn't have to take off the trigger either.
