    Sig Sauer p226 SRT

Does anybody know where I can pickup a SRT for the p226? I've looked at a lot of online retailers, but they are all out of stock.

    Thanks!

    Brownell says in stock.

Explore handgun parts (1,520) at Brownells, including slides, barrels, and triggers to repair, upgrade, or customize your handgun for improved performance.

I paid around $60 for mine, after S+H and all that. Such tiny pieces of metal, but they really do make a big difference.

I just got a Glock 26 and now I can't use the p226 until I get that SRT. Why is the stock Glock trigger so much better? Is there a CA law that forces Sig to use that trigger?

neb, it is your style of shooting. Do you release the trigger only until the reset and then pull again? Try releasing the trigger all the way (or at least way more than necessary), then take up the slack like you would with a 2-stage rifle trigger to "prep" the trigger, then fire.

Under cholo-coming-at-me-with-a-knife stress, do you think you can reliably feel the reset? If you can't and short stroked, you're screwed. Lets look at it the other way, you release the trigger too far and mashed the trigger, you still got the shot off (and hopefully on target).

            Food for thought.

It makes sense to practice by letting the trigger go past the reset point to insure I don't have a short stroke, but how does having a LRT help? It seems like one should only have a SRT and practice as if it were a LRT. It seems more likely that a LRT will cause a short stroke than the SRT.

I just found out my order was canceled because Brownells is out of stock, they just hadn't updated their inventory. Any other sites that have the P226 SRT in stock?

I got one from Midway two weeks ago, and I'm surprised they're already out of stock. The site says that their order is overdue, so I think if you backordered it, you'd probably get it pretty soon.

The trigger does not matter. IN GENERAL. Practice is what matters.

The srt does make a big difference. I have one on my p226 elite dark and what a difference on follow up shots. I'm a hammer guy and I thought my 92fs was the sheet until I ran that srt. That being said practice makes a difference. If you ever get that srt, you will love it.

For target shooting the trigger reset does matter to me. The less I need to move my finger, the better my aim is. My followup shots are better on my Glock 26 and that's a smaller gun and I have less experience with it. My long distance pistol "snipes" are better with the Sig, but that's expected because it's a bigger gun. I really think the SRT is going to make a difference for follow up shots on the Sig.

Has anyone replaced their reset on a Sig here? Did you notice any improvements in your target shooting?
