    Lost DROS paperwork

My brother in law started DROS yesterday on a handgun. He called me to tell me he can't find the paperwork. Will it be a problem when picking it up in 9 days?

I can't answer for your FFL. I get teased about it for a few minutes then they pull up their copy and I get my toy. I always forget my paperwork so I get teased often. If you're really worried, call the shop.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

The paperwork itself doesn't matter. Usually they'll give you a copy with a receipt so that it's easier for you to prove you bought it and are past the 10 24hour periods. Otherwise you're making them work to look it up

Thanks. I figure that would be the case. I'll have him call the FFL first thing in the AM. Cheers.

Usually I leave it in my car whenever I buy something.

Yeah this. Leave it in the glove box, especially when you buy multiple guns, losing or getting it mixed up with other paper work becomes easier.

They just started giving a copy of the DROS this year, before I would just get the little receipt the credit card machine prints out

Most of the time they just ask for your i.d.
