Second time ever shooting my brand new Sig 1911R since I got it for Christmas back in December. I have loved this gun ever since I shot one of our customer's guns almost a year ago and, I must admit, I am still in love.

The edges of the grip are slightly more rounded than most 1911s. This makes the grip more comfortable during recoil as it doesn't cut at my hand like most 1911s do. 1911s that have a tendency to hurt my hand (gripwise) include the Rock Island, Citadel, Ruger, and Auto Ordinance. The gun is also not excessively heavy and remains comfortable after several boxes of ammo. Though not as light as a Kimber, I find it to be the perfect weight for keeping my sight picture steady without wearing out my girly arms. It is my hands down favorite 1911 for looks, feel, and accuracy. (and I have shot A LOT of 1911s).
On this day I shot new American Legacy (a house brand from Field Time Target and Training in Stanton, CA) 230 GR FMJ. I had no malfunctions. This ammo, like much of FTTT ammo is loaded a little on the hotter side which, for me, tends to be more accurate.

I shot each group at eight yards at a 5 in. target. This was the first group (8 shots):

The two subsequent groups were shot at the first group and then to the side (it was just a few minutes before work and I only brought out one target):

Thanks for lookin!
