    Dan Wesson PM9 SSE Question

Does anybody know if the DW PM9 barrel has the same outer diameter as a regular .45 1911? I'm trying to find out for SSE purposes if 1911 .45 SSE parts can be used to SSE a PM9. Or does that cause other problems because when you SSE it, you change the caliber with a .45 barrel

Easiest way is to call FFLs to find out. If they don't have a barrel that's compatible, it ain't happening.

That gun would not be in firing condition. Not a proper single shot exemption format. Not legal.

I bought a Rock Island Armory 9mm 1911 through Tracy Rifle & Pistol as a SSE pistol. If there isn't a dealer closer to you that can do it, call Mike at TRAP.

Some of the SSE dealers are using barrel liner/inserts. It's like a long .25acp barrel inside your barrel.

I am curious of this as well as I would love to add one before the SSE hammer comes down, and they flat outlaw it.
