    Ruger LC9&LC380

Ok with these soon to fall off the roster I have a question

Can the 380 be converted later to a 9? Maybe simply by changing the barrel?

Thought the 380 would be easier shooting for the wife

Personally I will pursue an lcp at some point as well

The LC9 doesn't have much recoil as it is but as far as I know, the frame is identical but not 100% sure.

Wouldn't the 380 be smaller? Otherwise what's the point?

They are the same size, if u want a smaller frame go with the LCP

same exact size, not sure about interchangability but you'd be hard-pressed to notice the difference between the two recoil-wise unless you get into +p ammo. the lc9 is usually at least 10-20 dollars cheaper. I just picked my lc9 up Monday and can't wait to go try it out. i'll say this though, without the extended finger-rest on the mag, it's a 2-finger gun unless you have really small hands. another thing to consider is that .380 ammo is more expensive. only reason I would've bought the lc380 instead of the 9 is only if I couldn't get one. whatever you do, do it quick because as the deadline closes in, they're gonna be hard to get.

Only reason I was thinking 380 is for the wife to like shooting it I know the lcp is smaller but that's not the point. I want her to enjoy shooting

My wife greatly prefers my p238 to her lc9. If that helps. She says the lc just isn't much fun due to DA only super long trigger. And it "pinches"

But she adores her m&p 9

If you want an enjoyable gun for a woman, personally I'd consider other guns.
Any of the above mentioned guns are small and there way less comfortable to shoot. For carry they are great but for range toys I'd get something bigger. Or a 22. Lots of great options are out there.

I'm with XDRoX the lc9 is not really a range gun it's more for self defense. Unless she's planning to carry it, I would look into other pistols.

agreed, these are not made to go shoot a bunch, but to be slim and small to carry on you. if you just want to go shoot, get something bigger like an sr9, m&p, glock, etc... in a compact or even full-size. little guns as a whole are not all that pleasant to shoot. I bought an lc9 because I wanted a small pistol that's well-made, inexpensive, and preferably 9mm. nothing else comes close as far as value goes. sure i'll get flamed for that one but prove me wrong, seriously. I know there's plenty of "nicer" stuff out there, but not at this price.
