    Ak pistol question

Hey all. Thinking about getting/building an Ak pistol.
    1. Is it legal to have a standard rear trunnion on the back with the two butt stock holes ?
    2. If its not, can anything else be attached to said trunnion? I.E. sling, or maybe a cheek riser or anything butt a stock.
    3. Looking at flow chart, says no threaded barrel, I cant have threads for a muzzle brake ? Or does a bullet button make this one not count?

Threaded barrel ok (since it has a bullet button), sling ok

Can a pistol have a rifle rear trunnion with the stock attachment arm left on?

        It's risky.

As long as you do not own or possess a shoulder stock that can attach to it, it should be legal under Federal & CA laws.

If you own/possess a shoulder stock that can attach to it, then it would be constructive possession of a SBR (Federal & CA felonies).

Which is why no manufacturer uses standard rifle trunnions on pistol builds.

        IMO...
        Use a pistol trunnion.
If you use a rifle trunnion, weld an end plate in place so that a shoulder stock can not be attached.

Cut the arm off and weld a flat piece of metal to the trunion close the opening. Problem is they could say that there was a stock attached at one point and deem it an sbr. once a rifle always a rifle.....

Thanks guys, that's kind of what I was thinking. I want to be following the law and not make any mistakes.
