I don't see why not if that will make you happy (ier). I think it will look cool although I dig the two-tone look as well.

      Congrats!

Looks pretty bad *** right now. Roll with the 2-tone for a while; you can always cerakote a few years down the road and it will feel like you got a new gun.

Haven't seen a colt rail gun like that before I would leave it alone, looks awesome as is. Only thing I'd change is the grips.

Another thing that might factor in your decision is the model you have has been discontinued, just the O1980RG (all black cerakote) and O1070RG (all stainless) models are still in production

It looks better than the more common two-tone 1911, you know with the slide black instead of stainless. I second the recommendation for new grips maybe with a swell by the mag release but that's just me personally.
I got a dig bick. You this read wrong. You read that wrong too. Haha i you got

Looks a lot like my COLT USMC CQBP. What did it run you if you don't mind my asking?

I bought a stainless SAI, after I got it modified and perfected, I'm going to have it melonited and blackened.

I don't like railed 1911s myself, and I think anything that is not an electromagnetic pulse rifle shooting projectiles at Mach 3 should be ashamed of calling itself Rail Gun. But I'm not you and it isn't my gun, so it doesn't matter.

I wouldn't modify anything until you get a feel for it first.

I don't care for the look of reverse two-tone, so I'd blackout the slide to match or reverse it to standard two-tone. I am going to Cerakote my all stainless Railgun as the blackout look is growing on me and I have a two-tone 1911 already.

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

I suggest shooting 2,000 rounds through it and then think about what it "needs".
