Beretta Neos

Any one have an opinion / experience on these? Gonna get one for my son and I to shoot paper targets and plinking.

It's a fun gun! Got one several months ago to plink with, put a Burris reddot on it (nice sight, crappy rings). The trigger is not as bad as I had read it was, and it feels well made.


It fits the bill for fun inexpensive plinking.

I bought one for me wife (but I shot it most). Very easy to take apart to clean (1 screw, that's all).

If you can get over the none traditional look (vs. the Star War phaser) - I recommend it 100%

I enjoy mine. I like my CZ Kadet kit better (I like the sights better on the CZ) but the Neos is a fine pistol and easy to clean.

There are a couple of web posts on how to tune up the Neos trigger.

Cheap, easy to clean, fun to shoot, reasonably accurate(esp. with wolf match target) and will reliably feed any ammo I put in it. I have two barrels a 6" and a 7.5" that I can switch back and forth to shoot with iron sights or red dot. Absolutely love mine.

Although I'm thinking selling mine or trade, but I highly recommend Neos. Inexpensive, easy to take down, interchangeable barrel (though, hard to find)...etc.

ps: The reason I'm selling mine was because 22lr really isn't my thing.

Mine has been 100% reliable out of the box, and I use both cci mini mags and Federal 745 bulk pack. I don't think I have ever owned a .22 that can make that claim. Another huge plus is that CDNN has mags for ten bucks.

The only issue I have is that trigger is way to heavy out of the box. I did the home gun smith job with a bic lighter spring and it is now a great shooter. Search for the mod, well worth it. I am using a matchdot with some ultra low rings I got from Midway.

How much are you guys paying for those? Seems like a good addition to my short list of possible .22 plinkers.

I bough one for my son for Christmas. He picked it out on looks. First range session the sights flew off the gun with the second magazine. My Best friend bought himself one against my warnings and hasn't been able to get a good group out of it. The Ruger pistol is more reliable and accurate, the browning buckmark easier to shoot. The Walther P22 is a better fit for young hands and very accurate. If you HAVE to have a NEOS enjoy it.
