The email took a few days to return. It was less than a week, but I think it was closer to 4 days. As far as that the only metric of customer service, it's like Sealocan said, if I took my car to the dealership for it's 60,000 mile service and they told me that they would not get to my car for 10-12 months, that is pretty poor service also.

As far as why I need springs, at the last time I took it to the range, I had a few light strikes on double action mode. Since this gun is also on my CCW, I need it to be reliable, so I think it needs stronger hammer springs.

S&W has had my model 36 for well over 6 months and they have not even touched it yet. They are backed up to the hilt.

Have you checked the strain screw that tensions the hammer spring? It can back out over time if not Loctited in place.
