Frank is a good guy if not a bit cranky Years ago before Tabor engineering he was my neighbor . I move from the bay area 14 years ago and haven't seen him since. Good luck.

Why did he shut down anyway?
Was driving by one day and the store was closed.

I was talking to somebody at Richmond a few weeks ago that said Frank still shot there, unfortunately I can't remember who it was that told me that.

The last time I talked to him, he told me he was thinking about retiring and he was going to shut the store. One day I dropped by and it was closed.
When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."

I believe he shoots the SASS cowboy events and some WWII rifle events at Richmond. Haven't seen or talked to him since he was trying to sell off his stock before retiring. Maybe the gunsmithing forum might have some contact links.

I asked Frank if he would be doing any gunsmithing from home and he said that retirement is retirement and he would be keeping to himself. If anyone heard differently please PM me.

I know Frank, he's here quietly. I can get hold of him but don't want to bother him with this because I know what his answer will be...

...He "retired". I don't think he has an FFL anymore anyway.

Also, an individual really can't do regular 'gunsmithing' activities, esp for profit, without an FFL. And certainly such an individual can't take guns outside the presence of the owner for work (the 'infrequent loan' provision likely isn't for that purpose).

Well I can respect that, same thing my father said. I just wanted to check and see if he wanted a small project to earn a little cash.

If Frank is out of the game, there are plenty of other qualified smiths out there, I just thought of Frank from previous work he did for me.

                        Thanks for your comments
