    Revolver

Well, I bought a Smith Wesson 442 snub nose today. Really excited but now have to wait 10 days.

Nice. I have a number of Smith snubbies. Favorite is a 649.

I have a 442 and love it. Reliable and accurate for a snubby.

I have a 442 Power Port, won from the NRA. The action was a little stiff at first, so I bought some snap caps and pulled the trigger a few thousand times. It loosened up some, so I broke it down, polished some internals, (I have the tools and training), and put Wolff springs in it. Smoother and lighter, but not too light. It's my beddy-bye gun, so it has a Crimson trace on it. Long story short, a good choice.

If you bought it at a shop w a range, they can let you shoot it, just cant take it home after.

Snub noses are a different breed of guns and everyone should have one

Good choice, OP. My summer carry pistol is a 642, it replaced a Model 60 (no dash). Don't be afraid to replace the grips, the factory versions can be a little tough on the hands, especially with +P ammo. Pachmayr makes a nice compact set of grips for it, there's a set on mine and it makes a difference.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

My first was a 2-1/4' Ruger SP101 and I'm hooked. Just love the little mighty mite. Would love to track down a pre-lock Smith for my next.

Nice! I have the 642 and hope to add a 442 some time before the world ends. Great choice!
