    Sights for M&P???

Hi guys im looking to change the sights on my m&p what brand would you guys go for. i like the 2 dot style and a rear sight with the U-round notch. I have heard mixed things about the ameriglo pro i-dot. If you guys had any opinions as to what i should consider. this will be just a home defense gun with range and maybe trying to do some real steel competition in the future.

Trijicon HD. No dots in the back except tritium but super hi-vis front and a nice serrated u-notch rear.

I love the 10-8 set I have on my G21 - I think they make them for the M&P too. The u notch rear w/ brass bead front is fast to acquire and very clear.

I have been eyeballing those for mine, can't decide on green or orange for the front.

Plenty of calgunners with an MGW pusher or a vice and punch If you were in NorCal I'd be happy to install em for you.

Forgot to mention: on my M&P, I just blacked out the rear dots and installed a Ameriglo fiber optic front. It is now a really great sight picture - maybe even better than the 10-8 set I mentioned. The 10-8 set is probably more durable - I haven't broken the fiber optic rod, but I understand it does happen. If you have a vise and properly sized punch, drifting sights is actually really easy.

I run Trijicon HD's on most of my weapons. They're the best combination of tritium, high visibility, uncluttered rears, and hooked rears for single hand malfunction clears.

On my .45 I have 10-8 brass bead front and 10-8 rear. I just got the Ameriglo Defoor sights for my 9mm. Front and rear blacked out and serrated, have yet to install them and try them out. I like my sights simple, no rear dots and a nice simple front.

Go back to the 10-8 Performance site and look at the very top of the page (in the black bar) where it says "Choosing Sights". There's some pretty good info in there. Also, on the left side of the page where it says S&W M&P, click on that and then scroll down to where it says "S&W M&P rear sight" and then click on that and read the "product description". It will tell you what the factory sight size is and there's an installation video too. Good luck.

For home defense I like Trijicon.
