    If someone would just come out with a modern, full-sized top break revolver, I probably wouldn't want a Schofield as bad as I do now. Still, they're beautiful guns in their own right.

        Totally legal to have in CA.

        you're not going to get one unless you have a LEO friend who will PPT it to you or a family member out of state who can gift it to you.

            ive noticed the Lamaries are only the Uberti Russian model 3 with the Schofield model 3 trigger gaurd , and wood grips with the berretta logo thats about all, you pay extra money for berretta name, kinda lame

              Ugh... so the top latch mechanism is not like the Schofield?

                yeah the lamarie and russian models have the same latch as the ivers johnson top breaks were the latch is on the barrel while the model 3 schofield latch is on the action, and the russian and lamarie model has the adjustable site, those are two beutiful pistols if i made add also, wish i had one... hah i just research and drool over them

                  Thanks Cole, they were Navy Arms (Uberti) New Model Russians that I had chopped to 5" among a few other things. By far my fave cowboy shooters.

                    Uberti Schofields are also imported by Cimarron Arms. On CA's website, they recommend www.texasjacks.com as a stocking dealer with a good inventory, ready to ship to the local FFL dealer of your choice.


                    Looks like the model CA850 is right up your alley.
