For hd I prefer no safties to have to actuate and manually decocking the hammer on a chambered round to me is too risky for an nd. So for hd I prefer a decocker.

Does the decocker cause the trigger to be more stagey and not as smooth as it could be?

The CZ is not intended to be home defense gun as that job is reserved for striker fired wonder polymer guns. But I would never rule it out as well either. Never know what or how a situation will arise.
