    Glock Trigger Suggestions

Ok, here is my dilemma. I have a kimber 1911 that is extremely accurate. The trigger pull is clean with no issues. On the other hand I have a glock 17 and 21 and I seem to pull my shots to the left of the target area. Can anyone recommend a good trigger that can reduce poounds on the pull so they can be comparable to my 1911.. thanks

I have fulcrum triggers for my Glocks, they lighten the pull and have the option to adjust travel and reset. They are pricey and I have had my fair share of issues with them. I would suggest just getting the cheap competition spring kit from either zev tech or glock store. Changing the firingpin spring, and polishing the connector will be a noticeable difference. Don't get caught up in spending big money on a trigger kit. Its fun to have different guns to play with but it's really easiest to have one style and master it

Be prepared for the onslaught of "It's a GLOCK" comments.

Are you firing from the reset point?

Send it to Zev Technologies Glockworx in Oxnard and have them install the complete Fulcrum trigger kit and other parts. I sent my 15+ year old G23 that has shot thousands of rounds. They went completely through it and put a StormLake barrel in it too. It's friggin awesome now. I don't think you will ever get any gun to have the trigger of a 1911, but as Glocks go, You won't be disappointed with Glockworks products and amazing service.

For once I have to agree with jessegpresley. It's the shooter, not the gun. I shoot almost equally as well with a Glock 17 as I do with a CZ-75b or a Springfield 1911. Learn how to shoot properly rather than trying to build a gun that will hide your bad tendencies and habits. BTW, that 1911 has a 3.5# trigger, and the other two guns are completely stock. The only thing I would consider doing is if you think the trigger feels gritty try polishing the trigger bar and safety plunger, although those parts will smooth themselves out as you shoot the gun.

I will say that jakejake527 is full of it. While what he suggested will definitely lighten the trigger pull, nothing and I mean NOTHING is going to make a Glock trigger feel like a 1911 trigger. Not even "kinda"

Just installed a Travis Haley Glock "Skimmer" trigger from glocktriggers.com on my G19 and it takes up the slack that we all feel before the trigger breaks and fires..cost about $160 but it was worth it IMO.

+1 to improving the shooter but I do like my glocktriggers.com trigger. I have a Skimmer before they called it the Skimmer so I missed out on paying the Haley premium. It is very smooth and does reduce some of the take-up. I used to use a Glockworx standard with the lesser take-up and their connector and I had to polish the crap out of it just to get nearly as smooth as the Skimmer trigger out of the box.

                      Glocks run best stock.

The Skimmer trigger for example disables the drop safety. Most people that have reliability issues with a Glock are people that mess with the factory parts.

OP just learn to shoot your Glock better practice dry firing the gun daily while in the house.

How are you planning on making a Glock trigger feel like a single-action? A Glock trigger will never feel like a 1911 trigger. The reason you're shooting to the left is that you're spoiled by the 1911 trigger. Whenever I want to look like Johnny-badass to a new shooter, I'll always pull out a 1911 and dazzle them with a half-dollar sized group. I can do the same with the Glock, but it takes a lot more effort/concentration and then I don't look so cool.

Have someone that knows what they're doing watch you shoot your Glock and then take the corrective advice they give you. No need to screw around with the Glock trigger, you just need to learn to shoot better.

No matter how much money you dump into your Glock, the trigger will NEVER be that of a finely tuned 1911.

With that said, I have owned just about every Glock made and I have run just about every type of trigger system out there in one variation or another.

Nothing I have done to my glock pistols has come reasonably close to the factory trigger of my TRP or my DW Valor.

                          Nothing.

I've learned that training is the most important skill in your toolbox. Put some time behind a "decent" Glock trigger and you will be able to master the platform.

As it's been said above, you've been spoiled by a 1911 trigger.

Salient! Great trigger, they install it custom fit to your gun. A little pricey at 265 but their customer service was great and it's their whole fire control system put in the tier 1 guns. Their is a choice of regular or flat faced. I'm very happy with my choice

                              1911 snobs misinterpreted my post

Glock triggers will never feel like a "supertuned" super11

Make sure its supertuned to make sure its reliable.
