Possible to get a TX CCW permit while here?

Good chance I'll be moving the family to Texas this summer. Looked up what it takes to get my CCW while there and looks like it could take 2-3 months to get it. If possible I'd like to get it in advance of going.

I know there used to be CCW classes here in Cali for other states, is that still going on? Could I get my permit for TX while here?

You can get the AZ non resident and carry legally in TX until you formally move....

Yep, if you have AZ non resident there is reciprocity and you can carry in AZ,NM and into Texas...and the great state of Oklahoma if you head up there...along with many other states.
