Smith Wesson falling/pulled off ?

So I was at my lgs today picking up a rifle and overherd a conversation about a bunch of s&w pistols being pulled off the roster this week.

Another customer was trying to buy a kahr pistol but they couldnt find it on the dros system. After the sales guy talked to the manager, they determined it had been pulled off the roster. At the same time I also herd the manager say they received a letter from Doj stating a full page of s&w are also being pulled. Can anyone confirm this.

Looks like a full page and a half of S&W pistols dropped off as of 12/31/13.
