    New M&P45

I recently purchased a S&W M&P45. Went to the range this weekend and put 150 rnds without an issue. After reading reviews on the M&P's, I was expecting a bad trigger and would have to add the APEX parts, but I have to say I'm totally happy with it. It has a smooth take-up and about a 6-7 lb. clean break. Totally acceptable for a defensive firearm.

Accuracy was also pleasing as long as I did my part on the trigger control. I read S&W was changing the trigger on the newer M&P models, looks like I got lucky on this one. Looking forward to using it in future pistol training courses.

After DROS and taxes, it was $700. Not cheap, but to be expected in a Bay Area gun-shop.

I like my M&P45 a lot. I did install the full Apex polymer trigger in mine though as an evaluation to decide if I wanted the Apex trigger in the Shield that I carry. And I installed one on the Shield too.

I've totally fallen in love with mine. I did upgrade the trigger and remove the Mag disconnect and take down lever though. It's my new favorite fighting 45. I'm a big glock fan but this pistol won me over after I ran it through a pistol class.
