Moving to California...can I bring my STI Trojan?

I am moving to California very soon and have been trying to figure out if I can move in with my STI Trojan. I will be driving in via rental/moving truck. I have called the local sheriff's office several times and they have told me they will call back but no one ever does and it is getting down to the wire. Am I good to own/register this in California? Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

    If no threaded barrel, yes.

May not bring any 11+ magazines, though not even broken down to parts.

Thank you librarian! It doesn't have a threaded barrel. The whole thing is confusing. The gun is not on the list of approved firearms in CA but that list does have some sort of personal transfer exemption?

What list of approved firearms? You mean the safe handgun roster?

The Roster applies to transfers from dealers. It does not affect moving here.

Suggest you buy whatever pistol you want that is not on the roster before you move here.
Why do you want to leave America and immigrate to the PRK?

                  As others have suggested.

First, don't move to CA. It is like a roach motel, You check in then it is nearly impossible to check out. While you are there, it will suck you dry until you die.

Second. Buy all handguns you think you might want. STI frames, 1911's, other guns not on the roster. Stay away from threaded barrels. Those guns will never be cheaper than they are right now. Then you can register them when you get here and they are good to go.

                  Third. Don't go.
Starve the beast, move to a free state.

Can you pick up a few M&P shields before you cross into the PPK?

Maybe he's moving from New York in which case it'd actually seem like an upgrade.

Or maybe there's a hot blonde with big boobies and an insatiable libido waiting here for him.

                      Otherwise...yeah not a good idea

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Yes, completely legal to bring here. Whatever you do, though, don't sell it! You will probably never get it back unless you happen to find one via private party (most likely at an inflated price).

You're good to go, even though CA would prefer you bring Trojans and leave the STIs. They consider the latter "immoral."

                            Not true, but OK sure.

Buy more offlist handguns before moving here. If you end up selling them later, you'll likely get more money back used than you bought it for.
