    9mm slide on M&P45 frame?

    Hey guys,

So I wanted to see if anyone here knew if I could take the slide and barrel off of my M&P45 and replace it with a 9mm slide and barrel? Will it fit/work?

I know you can just do a barrel swap on the M&P40 to 9mm but that is not what I am trying to do.

I have the 45 and would eventually like to get a 9mm in the future but dont want to spend a lot of money on the exact same gun with a different caliber.

Anyone know if this is possible?

    Best regards,

        Short answer NO

Funny thing is you actually can install the slide of a 9/40 on a 45 and the magazine out of said 9/40. The striker does not catch and the barrel doesn't lock up on the locking block. They are very very close dimensionally.
