    Best Consignment Selection Please

I'm headed to Contra Costa Collectibles as I've heard it's the best place in the Bay Area to find a used revolver, but what's the best place for semi-autos?

Should I go on down to the San Jose Gun Exchange or is there somewhere else? Which shop has the best consignment selection? Is there someplace that specializes in unusual pistols? I'd love to get a Sphinx, Wildey or AMT, but older Sigs, Brownings and Colts are hard to find as well. It just seems to me that there are plenty of wonderful handguns out there in need of a good home, so I can't buy new in good conscience.

    Thanks a lot.

Imbert & Smithers in San Carlos has an early SIG 220 in .45 and a beautiful 245 in .45 ACP for $600.00 There consignment selection is pretty impressive overall but no Sphinx, AMT or Wildey right now as far as I know.

You'll probably find everything you need at Contra Costa Collectibles. Wonderful selection of wheelguns, semis and rifles, albeit a little on the steep side...

Alright, dragging the wife to Walnut Creek on Saturday. CCC better live up to all this hype or she'll be disappointed.

        Thanks guys.

As long as you're not looking for AW-type semis, then CCC is THE place for older Colt SAs and 1911s, BHPs, and various other Model 94 and C&R rifles that line the walls. I always feel like a kid in a candy store everytime I walk through their doors, and have found myself having to wipe drool away a couple of times. Depending on what you you're looking for, chances are high that you'll get very lucky, so make sure to pack plastic when you visit!

The best place is where they have consignments at near half their normal going price. you never know what you might run into. My best finds have been when I went in during work hours to spot something they just put out that morning.

You don't find guns, guns find you- It's not like you know what kind of gun you will find. If the price is right buy it-trade it-sell it.

I bought my first pistol there almost 4 years ago when I turned 21. They seemed to have every old gun you could imagine in there. The staff was very polite, and gave me a birthday deal on my Beretta. Hit them up! And if you don't like what you see, Irvington is open Saturdays also

Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

CCC has a great selection turning over all the time. There are several used semi-autos you may be interested in.
Tell Chuck (the owner), Mike D. from the S&W forum sent you and asked to give you a real good deal. Really!

Like Mike100 says, timing is everything. Not a lot sits around that shop for too long; they have new stuff every time I drop by. Chuck is a standup guy , and I have always been treated well there.

Last time I was there, Collectibles had a cherry Mark IV Series 70 Government. But even if it's gone, not to worry: they have lots of other things to die for.

If you're anywhere near Campbell, I've had great luck over the years with Sportsmen's Supply. It's not a big shop, and their consignment inventory tends to turn quickly, but if you stop by regularly, you'll find great deals on great guns.

Contra costa collectibles is a candy store of guns, you can spend hours there talking guns and looking at them, im picking a mint condition walther p5 up in a couple of weeks from there. 2nd choice would be the gun exchange but thats a drive from up here.
