    Calling all Sig Experts.

I've given up on hunting P220 in "Full Stainless finish" because it seems like they discontinued the model. So, the next best thing is to find an all black finish on "All Stainless" model and send it to Sig for blast bead.
Does anybody know one? If not, I'll just get me a P220 "Combat." Thanks in advance and have a happy new year to all.

P220 Elite Stainless, according to Sig's site is all stainless. Well the controls seem to be blued but that is an easy change over.

No need to send it to Sig to have it bead blasted. Just take it to a gunsmith. Bead blasting isn't rocket science.

Just to clarify what I meant when I say "Full Stainless" finish... I mean the Slide and Frame. It so hard to find one that's why I gave up on them.
Since the slide is coated with black/nitron I'm assuming that there are some frames that are also "Stainless" but coated with black/nitron?

Just keep looking, you will find one. And it's worth the wait!

BTW, if anyone is looking for a nice older style blued P220, Bullseye Nevada will have a used one available pretty soon, and I'm sure it will be a killer price. It has some rust issues near the serrations, but its surface only.

They bought the gun on trade and it was sitting in their San Rafael store for months. I did a spring kit on it, ran it through its paces and it's a sweet shooter. Was hitting a 4 inch plate at 40 yards ever time.

More importantly, I could not get it to malfunction.

Call Sig and ask. I know all their 1911's are stainless regardless of finish. It's probably the same with the P220 since it's cheaper to make one batch of parts and then just apply a different finish depending on model.

What you are looking for is the 220ST. Both the slide and frame are natural Stainless.

OP your not looking hard enough, are you looking for a brand new one in the stores or finding one here on calguns there is a seller here selling a P220 all stainless elite model. I think hes in Concord.

Standard all stainless P220's come up for sale all the time here, just keep looking.

                    That's a great looking gun isn't it!

I saw one here in the WTS section but didn't like the look of the slide without the external extractor ( forgive me for the description, I might be butchering it. ) I saw a couple that I really like on Top Gun And Osage but they're out of stock.

I saw that one too and contacted the seller but he got an offer already. Also, other sellers don't ship so it's hard. Anyway, if all fail, P220 Combat is not a bad idea.

Does Sig even make a handgun without an external extractor? Can you post a like to the one you saw?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found a picture of one and there is no external extractor.

OsageCountyGuns is a great place to do business. I bought three P226mk25's from them earlier this year.

Just something to think about: Black/Blued guns are much harder to see at night (a good thing if it is in your hand) and there is much less glare on the same finish in daylight.

Another way of saying it: stainless/nickel/chrome finish is much easier to pick up at night and much more glare in your eyes during the day. Just sayin...

They don't really glare at all unless the finish is polished. My 1911 has a matte stainless finish and the light has to hit it just right for it to glare.
