FNX 45 FDE

I was at a gunship today to pick up some parts for a AR build and saw that the shop had a new FNX 45 for sale. I asked how was this possible, this gun is not on the rooster of cal legal firearms that can be purchased. I was told that the gun had been converted to a single shot and was therefore legal. I was also told that after I dros the gun could be converted back to semi auto. I have never heard of this. Is this legal?

I went back to Enterprise Arms in Irwindale and plunked down $800 for this FNX 45 in FDE. The price includes the long barrel and mag block to make it a single shot competition gun. After receipt of the gun, I can put the stock barrel in if I want.

You will leave the store with your FNX with the normal barrel, the longer SSE barrel stays with your LGS... The extra charges is for getting the SSE Job done, it goes for around $100. $800 for everything, tax included, is good......Enjoy your toy ....

$619 shipped is less than what I paid for my FNP45 from CDNN in 2010. If you can get that price today for a FNX45, it's a bargain.
