Glocks still have Extractor issue?

I want to get several polymer pistol, Glock 19 is on my list.
but, I heard Glocks have Extractor issue that will throw cartridge cases backward to your head, Does the issue get resolved by Glock or not?

I think that's mostly confined to drop in replacement barrels.

Ie got a g27 with a case through it this never hit me with an empty.

I've never had that problem either. Buy a glock with confidence.

It was the gen 4s if I'm not mistaken. I've had gen 1,2,3 all makes, models, calibers. Unimaginable amount of ammo passed through. Never a problem.

Not sure if Glock has fixed the Gen3, but YES, my gen3 would throw brass right at my forehead. it still does, but not as frequently.

I don't think Glock ever got that issue fixed. mostly just replacing the Ejector, not the extractor.

others have gone diff route, changing the stock Extractor (it's ugly casting) and replaced it with a Wolf Extractor.

I, on the other hand, went and bought an older Gen2 .40SW Extractor, and it helps (a patch not a fix)...except, 50% of the time, the last round will fly right between my eyebrows ahaha

however, i'd still recommend a G19. it's my beater gun.

Also, this seems to happen more often with my 10 rnd mags.

Have not seen or found a post lately, maybe it is fixed...I would find a new production within this quarter year.

Gen 3 or 4, both had issues in the same time frames when they were made.

That or the Glock shortage this year...Good Luck

its not a gen 4 issue its a production run issue with early 4th gens and

went to Reeds Indoor Range in Santa Clara looking for Gen4 but was told not available anymore cuz it's not officially on the roster. but was told i can still get them through a private party transfer.

You can also acquire one via SSE ... there is several places in San Jose that can SSE a Gen 4 for you like metal dog tactical and MParms just to name a few.

not to hijack the OP, but would you be able to buy the G19 from metal dog tactical or MParms? i assume it will be easier if get it from them or from online shop and have it transfered to them right?
