g34 25 cent trigger job query

I am about to take apart my glock 34 and do a 25 cent trigger job. Ive heard some of the parts are different than a 17 or a 19. Ive also heard the trigger on the 34 has a lighter pull than a 17 or 19 as well. My question is, if I were to do a 25 cent trigger job, would I feel a difference?

Like a ghost 3.5 lb connector? I was also looking at trigger kits with less play and reset. Using my Glock 34 in production in USPSA

You already have a 3.5# connector in your G34, so getting a aftermarket 3.5# you'll likely not notice a difference in weight and might feel a difference in feel. I use a Ghost rocket connector and it feels much more positive in reset and trigger travel compared to the factory glock 3.5# connector.

A $0.25 trigger job will clean up some of the grit i the trigger.

Like the other guys have said. It will be smoother and less gritty. But not really any lighter.

I did the $.25 trigger job on my G19 and G34 and there was no improvement.

Immediate improvement on mine. Seems like it may be hit or miss between different pistols depending on how wore in they are (or how well made).

From what I hear it's not a substantial difference. I'm using this pistol for competition. So every but helps. Im looking at trigger kits that are USPSA production legal. Looking at Glockworx and Glocktriggers.com as well as Vanek.

My G34 is still new in the box. May be it is time to do a 25 cents job. I have to do a detail clean before hitting the range anyway.

I run my G34 with a stock connector. The .25 cent trigger job is a great place to start. It's a very safe method for smoothing out your trigger

I've shot the vanek and glockworx trigger and they're noticeably different. I'm not saying they are better/worse, but for USPSA, I'd recommend starting out simple. Once you get a better feel for it, you'll have a better idea of where to spend your money

For what its worth I would just do a $0.25 trigger job and be done with it. I've tried the glock works triggers, skimmers and what not. They are all great triggers and yes slightly better... depending what you think is better. But it will never be like a walther trigger or a 1911 trigger. Although I love my glocks I have to admit you are pretty much polishing a turd (its not that bad but hopefully you get my point) when it comes to triggers so I'd use your $$ on other stuff for the glock and leave the trigger alone.

Polishing a couple areas will give a smoother pull, but if you want a cheaper lighter pull, ghost spring kit with the 4lb FP spring installed will give you a nice light pull, for about $13, www.rockyourglock.com The G34 already has a 3.5lb dis connector.

I have a Vaneck in my G-34, and put the G-34 in my G-17, the difference is like night and day. Highly recommended if you have the cash...

Honestly, for target shooting trigger feel is important. However in USPSA, once that timer beeps, trigger feel goes out the window.

I used to visit the Glockstore regularly. I took my pistol in there asking about it & I got the trigger assy. polished free. I have a glock spring kit, 3.5 lb connector & Trijicon HD sights. I was warned to be cautious about polishing the connector, or removing the anti-seize on it. I like my pistol & no, it'll never have a 1911 style feel. IT'S A GLOCK. I have both platforms.
