Yes. Although you can't bring in the standard capacity magazines.

      What he said.

No large capacity (11+ round) magazines and, starting 01-01-2014, no magazine parts kits.

      So, get 10 round magazines.

Also, within 60 days of becoming a CA resident, you will need to register all the handguns you bring with you to CA.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

There is a 50 gun minimum rule to enter this state.
Go get some many Pac-Lite, STI frames, WC frames, snubbies, and lots of other thingies.

I might be wrong on the rule, but sometime being wrong is sooo right.

Yes, turn away as many pro-2A voters as you can. That's smart.

Whats the biggest differences between the gen 3 and gen 4 glock 17s? I believe one of them is the interchangable back strap?

I know, TX is awesome when it comes to Firearms. I just want to make sure before I transport it. I had read that the DOJ did not approve it.

That only applies once you're a subj...uh, resident of CA. you can bring your toys with you just not the evil puppy killing "high capacity" mags.
Don't forget that they want you to declare your handguns when you become a resident. Read here: http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/ab991

the biggest thing you need to worry about are your magazines, you can bring your "high capacity" magazine just need to be in the form of rebuild kits

It is perfectly legal - no restrictions at all in the Penal Code - to own and possess and use those "large-capacity magazines" in any gun*(see footnote), at any time, under any circumstances where it is legal to use a gun. Ownership, possession and use of "large-capacity magazines" are not crimes in PC; there is no section under which you could be charged.

Those who own "large-capacity magazines" are not required to keep records or receipts, and not required to explain how they got them.

The age of the magazine and the age of the gun mean nothing. The critical item is possession of the magazine(s) in California before January 1, 2000.

Exactly. Break em down before coming across the border.

As Phase1 said, since you did not poses them in California before 2000 break them down and buy 10 rounders
