    Trigger work near Central Valley?

Just got a 3" ruger gp100 and honestly had a better DA trigger (for whatever reason) than the 686 I rented, but since I feel I am going to hang on to this for a while I wanted to get a nice trigger job done on this. Has anybody had any good experiences with any local smiths/shops? What does a typical trigger job cost?

Where in the Central Valley? Paul at Barnwood may be able to help. He did a good job on my TRP.

Anywhere from turlock to Tracy. I'm right in the middle in modesto and familiar with barnwood. How much did it cost you?

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Are there any aftermarket springs that I could install myself to reduce the weight of the pull? The action is pretty smooth but would like a lighter trigger than the stock one.

We have two great smiths in Fresno if you ever get down this far. Larry Knight and Mike Badella. Can't sing their praises enough.

What about just some lighter springs or something I could do myself?
