Just got a 3" ruger gp100 and honestly had a better DA trigger (for whatever reason) than the 686 I rented, but since I feel I am going to hang on to this for a while I wanted to get a nice trigger job done on this. Has anybody had any good experiences with any local smiths/shops? What does a typical trigger job cost?

Anywhere from turlock to Tracy. I'm right in the middle in modesto and familiar with barnwood. How much did it cost you?Comment

+1 on Barnwood, Paul is a good guy.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Are there any aftermarket springs that I could install myself to reduce the weight of the pull? The action is pretty smooth but would like a lighter trigger than the stock one.Comment

What about just some lighter springs or something I could do myself?Comment
