    I've created a monster!!

Of course you start the young'ns out on 22's. So he started shooting the old Mk I and loved it. And the 10/22. Loved it. Got him a bearcat for his 11th bday. Loved it. Me too!!

He was scared of the bang of the 9 and especially the 45. He wasn't sure. Eventually he worked up the courage and shot the 228. Yeah he loves that. How could he not. But the 45. Ah the mountain to climb.

So he finally decided he'd give it a shot. Hey, it's not that bad at all. Now he bugs me every freaking day to take him to the range. And when I do I never get to shoot.

Damn. Who knew kids would be so damn difficult!!

    228

    And now the 45

    Rented a 357. Guess I know my(his) next purchase

This is going to get veeeeery expensive.

Oh. And he is accurate too. Lots of steel suffered tonight.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Sweet! Always good to see new additions to the "family"! Everyone should teach their kids about guns, and not just teach them to be scared of guns..

I'd rather take my 9 year old son to the range than anyone else.. He is more fun, respectful of our lands and SAFER than most of the adults I know.

Great work, OP. Have a blast!

The look on his face in the first pic says it all. Just tell him that dad needs some range time too.

I notice he's using revolver grip on an auto. Teach him early!

Trust me I know exactly what you are talking about. I got my son his first gun, S&W 22A1 for Christmas about 5 years when he was 13. After that it's been one after the other. It was followed by a Glock 22c then a MPA 9mm when he was 14. For his 15th Christmas he got a S&W Performance Center 627 5" and a Spikes Tactical AR-15. Just in time for his 17th Christmas my LGS got in a S&W Performance Center 627 2 5/8" in, and got that to match his other one. Then when it was time for him to graduate high school, I told him if maintained his 4.32 GPA I would reward him. He did and graduated top of his class so I got him a LMT MWS, Benelli M4, Springfield Professional, and a Glock 20. Now for this Christmas I'm going to surprise him with yet another Performance Center. This time it is a PC Stealth Hunter .44 mag.

We go shooting together every weekend, and it is our favorite thing to do together. Enjoy your time with your son, and be happy he likes shooting like you.
