Springfield 1911 Range Officer in 9mm

Seems like the pistol is getting press everywhere except Calguns, so in case anyone didn't know, Springfield released the Range Officer in 9mm.

Median price-point seems to be about $825, but of course, it's not on the list.

I wish that had been avliable when I bought my Loaded 9mm. Oh well. I think my next hand gun is going to be a RO in 45. They are a lot of gun for the price.

Yep, that's exactly what I thought when the pistol debuted. I purchased a Loaded in 9mm years ago, and had the RO been available at the time, I would have secured one.

The barrel in my Loaded was ramped, so I'd imagine Springfield employing the same ramped design in the RO.

On the opposite end, Harrison manufactured a fixed LPA sight, but I never liked it. Hilton Yam has had a fixed LPA sight in development for what seems like ages, but to date, has not moved into the production stage. I stopped inquiring about it years ago.

If you want Stainless then you'd be looking at the Loaded rather than the RO.

What I can determine for differences:

RO - standard recoil rod, Loaded full length two piece
RO - Steel frame & Slide, Loaded stainless frame and slide
RO - No front slide serrations, Loaded - front slide serrations
RO - Single thumb safety, Loaded ambidextrous thumb safety
