I got it for $350 from a friend. Yeah the 3rd Ed of the SCOSW dates it to about '74. The other gun is a K22.

I love 17's and 14's as well. You got a great deal on the mod 43. You probably won't believe this but I saw a mod 43 go for over $2000 at an auction before! Never underestimate 2 people with too much money at an auction who want the same item!
