    Century Arms Walthers

Does anybody know if Century Arms has any plans to certify for CA the Walther PP's and P5's they are advertising?

If they don't have loaded chamber indicators and magazine disconnect safeties, they can't.

It's pretty unlikely that the Walthers will have both of those features.

Hmm, unless they're C&R, in which case they don't actually have to be drop-tested at all.

        Don't think the P5 would be C&R.

Even if it was, you can't order C&R pistols in California.

Not sure which Walthers are being discussed, but the Walther PP and PPK as made by Manhurin are C & R eligible.

              You mean these:
              P5
              &
              PP
              &
              100yr anniversary pp

If so the P5 (1979-?) and 100yr anniversary (1986) are definitely not C&R. None of them are advertised in the C&R section though

Any idea what the prices are/will be?

Don't know about the P5. I emailed Century's Customer Service about the PPs a few months ago, and the nice lady who responded said they had no plan to submit them for the CA or C&R lists at that time.

On the bright side, she also said they might have more Makarovs later this year, but I have a feeling she might have been talking about PA-63s.

Yes, you can, though not directly from Century.

                    Hope springs eternal

I had thought perhaps that with the flood of Sig P-6's and the super cheap Walther P1's that perhaps these might also find their way into our fair state.
                    Thanks for the info.

You can check to see what pistols are on the list at this link.

The only Walther PP on the list is the .380 versions.
The FEG PA-63 has expired and is no longer on the list.
