Some places will discount the SSE if you provide your own barrel.

I have an email alert for this place and just received notice that they have 7 inch barrels in stock, which is good for SSE since it's over 6 inches.

Mostly not. Its hard enough to find a shop that will do an SSE for you, let alone one willing not to reap the full benefits of the fee's they get to charge for doing it for you.

Well, I can't comment on the shops in OC but here in S Diego, the two shops that do SSE will waive the SSE fee for providing your own barrel.

Any reputable FFL should be able to offset the cost of the conversion by providing your own barrel.

I'd like to hear about an FFL that won't.
