    Favorite full size handgun

Just curious what everyone has as their favorite to grab on your way to the range. Please list make/model, caliber, any modifications you made and what makes it so special.

I'm sure there have been a dozen of these but its fun to see what everyone else is packing

Mine is my Sig 1911 Nitron Rail in (what else?) .45 ACP. Only thing I've change so far was the grips. I love the look of the rosewood but I guess my hands are too girly for them. I love it for how it feels. With my massive hands a full size 1911 just feels like home. I'll throw up a pic when i get a chance

Either one of my 1911's...Caliber? There's only one for 1911's

Kimber CDP II wearing Sarge's grips along with all the SS small frame parts changed out to black ones. Also had the barrel flush cut and reverse crowned.

Kimber Custom II Stainless, to be honest it's my first firearm that I own.

All time favorite would be a HK USP in .45, something about them that's just cool.

My 1911 is undoubtedly the first choice. Kimber Custom.

CZ SP-01 because it's like a natural extension of my hand and it makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

Followed closely by my 1911, great shooter and an iconic piece of American history.

Usually whatever's newest. Been a slow year for handguns for me. I DROSd my SR1911 on Dec 14, 2012 and it's been along every time since. If the wife's not along I also take my new-to-me MKII Competition Target .22.

I do believe I could fap to that if I put my mind to it...

Springfield Armory Loaded 1911 Stainless (.45 ACP as there is no other!). I've got 3 different grips which I don't use anymore-2 VZ's and a rubber Hogue set. Put skateboard tape on the front strap. I've also got the GI guide rod/plug, but I've reverted back to the 2 piece/full length guide rod for now. I can't tell any difference in how I shoot, but I hear and feel a little bit of a difference in the recoil. It just feels smoother with the FLGR in there. Like, the springs aren't rattling around in the frame.

The other pistol, Sig SP2022 is technically mine, but it's the wife's by the number of rounds she has put down range. Only upgrades has been ammo.

The Ruger Mark III 22/45 is our trainer/cheap plinking pistol. I've done quite a bit of upgrades-Volquartsen trigger and sear and polished the hammer and other bits and pieces inside.

Wait...what was the question? Oh yeah, my favorite is the 1911.

                              Happy shooting and be safe!
