So I bought a Sig Pro and took it out a few months ago to see how it shoots. I brought along two 50 round boxes of winchester 115 grain 9mm and loaded it up.
Immediately I had issues with every other round jamming, and the every round that ejected only ejected about 6" high 12 o clock from the port and smacked me right in the forehead. This continued for the entire box of 50 rounds, so I went back and broke it down and gave it another good cleaning.
I went back the same day after the cleaning and tried the other box of 50 rounds and had the same results.
So I get back home from the desert and called sig, and they told me to try another 200 rounds of a heavier 124 grain 9mm bullet, to break it in.
Fast forward to this Saturday, I get back out to the range and bring the new ammo along. Instantly I have 0 issues and get through all 200 rounds without a Jam or casing hitting me in the face. This time they ejected at about the 2 o clock position and had a little more force coming out.
So after I was done doing that I decided to try out the leftover 115 grain winchester 9mm that I had, and had 0 issues with it.
Should I consider this issue to be resolved, and chalk it up to the gun just needing to be broken in? Ive heard of guns being picky with a certain brand of ammo, but it just strikes me as odd that shooting a heavier round would fix it to where I could somehow shoot the other brand that was giving me problems at first.
