Glock 19 is acting very strange.

In short my CCW pistol is firing two and three round bursts. It's a gen 3 19 with a 3.5 disconnect, tru-grips and a grip force adapter.I shoot 3-4 times a month, about 250 rds. per trip using commercial reloadsI also dry fire a couple hours a week.I started to have light primer strikes last month, anywhere between 3-5 per 250(unrelated?).In addition to light strikes, while shooting slow deliberate groups the gun started to bumpfire for lack of a better description.I slowly squeeze the trigger and just as i hear/feel the reset the gun goes into burst fire.It has done this at least once per trip since the light primer strikes started occuring.

I don't know where to begin aside from putting the trigger back to stock.I'm in Bakersfield and I don't think there is any Glock experts here.If any of you guys have any experience with this or have any remedies I certainly appreciate your input.Thank you in advance.

Is the 3.5 disconnector a Ghost Brand?

I had one installed on my G19 and when I dry fired and Cycled the slide manually, the trigger would reset without any movement from the trigger.
      Current Armory:
      HK p7m8
      Dan Wesson Guardian 9mm
      Hi-Power Practical
      Baby Eagle 9mm

      Glock 43

I don't know if it's ghost. The trigger resets when I release it but sometimes it fires a 3 rd burst after doing so.

Not sure why it's doing that, but on a side note does your PD/SO allow any trigger modifications on a CCW carry gun? I have a CCW through Placer and they are very clear on not allowing any modifications. If you ever had to use your gun it might make a huge issue for you legally. Just a thought. Hope you get your gun issue sorted.

From the Glock armors class.... Glock receives a lot of misbehaving glocks for warranty work....

the bulk have some aftermarket mod or parts... once returned to factory parts, they run as intended...

I do not know if changing the pin to install the beavertail has pulled things out of alignment.

The famous .25 trigger job is something that can also be overdone and allow folks to remove the reliability if they dremel the part and remove too much metal vs. polishing the surface.

The Glock connector will look the same as any other OEM Glock connector but it will have a - stamped into it for identification.

I would swap back to the factory parts and then test with only 2 or 3 rounds loaded in each mag... if it runs away, you only want a few rounds when testing for function.

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
            (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

If it's a carry weapon, I would use OEM Glock connector not the 3.5.

I agree with about not having any mods done to a carry gun. I keep all three of mine 100% stock because if I am ever forced to use it that is a whole lot of questions I don't want to be asked on the stand.

We dont have to deal with that here in texas. However, i keep my glock stock because i want it to be reliable and thus far i have only seen mods for this particular weapon to make it shoot nicer not more reliable.

I would be more worried you modified your CCW gun. Return it to factory and see if the issue follows. I thought most counties frowned upon any modifications to the function of a CCW... good luck with getting her fixed up.

I carry a Glock (mostly a Glock) for the last 20 years now.

From my experience the more You do to a Glock , the problems You will have.

My GEN3 17 with over 15000 rounds had a extractor and several recoil springs replaced and still shoots great out to 50 yards and is super reliable.

I had this problem on a G3 g19 as well. It was not the mods I did to the gun, but turned out the trigger stop was causing it. I went through putting the gun back to stock config, and it still would fire when resetting the trigger, like the bump fire your mentioning. Put in another trigger stop with stock parts, gun ran fine. Ran it again with connector, springs etc, gun ran fine. Had the armorer at my lgs send it in to glock for inspection, haven't heard back yet.

OP, I hope you fix your gun!

And I have to pipe in and say that I think a stock Glock with maybe sights to your liking is probably the way to go. Guns, especially carry guns should only have one highest priority feature, and that's reliability.

I honestly don't think that slicking up a gun will get you "in trouble" after a shooting. The only thing that matter is "Did you intend to shoot the guy" and "why did you shoot him". If your response is anything beside "I feared for my life" then you are in trouble. No matter how slick your gun is, if you intended to shoot someone for fear of your life, that's that. If you slick you gun up, it's because it makes it easier for you to hit your target and not miss and hit other people.

Check out the interesting case of Frank Magliato. He basically pulled a gun on someone, cocked it into SA mode, then a car drove between them, causing him to "accidentally" discharge his revolver RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES of the guy he was pointing it at. He claimed that it was accidental because his gun was put into a hair-trigger mode.

Massad Ayoob argues that he should have just said "I meant to shoot him", others disagree. But anyway ...
